Love Anyway
November 12th, 2011 // 2:27 pm @ Coach Erik
Warm-Greetings!
Coach Erik here:
What do you do when someone you care about pushes your buttons? Do you push back? Engage in a fight? Shut down?
The other day I learned what my wife does when I attempt to push her buttons.
In the middle of a negative, self-righteous rant, (yes Coach Erik has occasional meltdowns) my wife gave me a precious gift. Instead of “pushing back” getting defensive or shutting down, she said to me lovingly, ” I know you have a lot going on right now, let’s work through this together.” Instantly the demon that had been holding my power hostage was exorcised from my body.
My invitation to you today is simple yet transformative:
Shower those you care about with love when they least deserve it, because that’s when they need it the most.
Live fit and Be Well,
Erik
